About Kristi Ryan

Trained as both a massage therapist and a nutritional health coach, I am able to help you create a holistic plan to guide you to better health through the mind, body and soul.

I graduated from the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado in 2008 where I studied Swedish and deep tissue massage, anatomy and pathology, assessment skills, neuromuscular trigger point therapy, myofascial therapy and the theoretical and clinical application of therapeutic massage.

Most of my continuing bodywork education training has been focused on advanced myofascial therapy. I absolutely love the profound power of the deep unwinding that the body and mind can be guided into.

But, equally as important, I understand what it is like to have chronic pain. I am no stranger to injuries and the resulting pain from years of trauma to my body.

I know what it is like to have an injured body that you feel is conspiring against you and your desire to stay healthy and active. I know how it feels to experience deep core pain that leaves you exhausted, depressed and worried about the future. I know how it feels to try every ‘cure’ imaginable with a renewed hope each time that it will work and then to be let down when it doesn’t. I know how it feels to have to sit on the sidelines and not participate in the activities you love.

I also know how it feels and what it takes to start to move in the other direction. To start to feel whole and connected again. To be able to take deep breaths and to face the pain with an open-minded awareness and curiosity to explore. To shine a light in the dark places where the pain takes you emotionally.

And… to slowly learn how to move freely again while calming the emotional reactions that drain your energy and keep you stuck in those patterns.

It’s not easy… yes, it takes time, work and focus. But if you really want to get to the other side of your pain and the limitations that it has put on your life then it is so worth it.

In addition to all of my personal experience, I have had the opportunity to work on a wide array of clients and have seen almost every type of injury or chronic pain issue. This has taught me so much as well… more than I could have ever imagined.

And, to further my skills helping people to live healthier lives, I decided to become a Certified Holistic Health Coach. I received my diploma through Nutraphoria’s School of Holistic Nutrition cutting-edge nutrition and coaching program where I studied integrative nutrition, holistic health, nutritional medicine, nutrition science, and coaching skills with a specialization in plant-based nutrition.

Whether you are looking for intuitive and integrative therapeutic massage in the Vail/Eagle County area, nutritional health coaching or a complete wellness package, I will be able to guide you in the right direction with your health and wellness needs.
